Review Summaries
"Sarah Tamson is an orphaned heiress who lives in an amazingly large house with her uncle Jamie. The chance discovery of a gold ring draws her into a strange plot - the ring is sought by an unnamed evil, and may once have belonged to the bard Taliesin. Magician Tom Hengyr believes that the bard has become insane and is hunting for his lost treasure, but when Sarah travels through space and time to meet the Celtic bard, she doubts that he could ever have wrought evil, and falls in love with him. Sarah must face the nameless evil if she is to protect her home and those dearest to her. This is quite a romanitc piece of fantasy, with elements of celtic and shamanic mythology. There is an otherworld, a faeerie world into which many of the characters are drawn, and from which many monstrous beings erupt to attack them. Secret powers and magics aboud. This is a very pleasing book, imaginative, surprising and very readable."
