""Rowdy" Roddy Piper "The Hot Rod" stars in this sci-fi flick directed and written (screenplay) by John Carpenter. Roddy plays Nada a construction worker down on his luck and looking for work under an economic crisis. He stumbles upon a pair of sunglasses that exposes the truth, that the world is being run by aliens in disguise with their mission to keep humans in a constate state of consumerism. Roddy hooks up with the resistance group who made the glasses."

"An everyman character named Nada, drifts into Los Angeles, looking for work. Instead, he stumbles upon a vast conspiracy initiated by an invading alien race, bent on oppressing Earth with conformist policies. After Nada discovers the clandestine operation, he tries to gain the help of a fellow drifter who's african-american. The problem is, the only way to discover the truth is by putting on specially designed sunglasses that reveal the alien's true appearance. In the midst of the chaos, Nada meets up with a less than trustworthy woman who may lead him to a solution to the problem or just may expose him and his rebel friends to the aliens."

"Homeless drifter roddy Piper has been wandering since he was a kid, but when he wanders into an ordinary town he descovers something beyond extraordinary, it's extra terrestrial! It seems that aliens have landed on earth some time ago and have been using mind control to prevent us from seeing them. To the rest of the world the aliens appear to be humans, but with the help of some special glasses Piper and his co-worker see them in their true form, and wage a two man war on the alien empire to reclaim earth."
