| Review Summary |
The aliens on earth take certain people to live with them for a time. The protagonist counsels the people who remain behind, and when his wife is returned by the aliens, she begins working on the other people who have been returned, changing them to be other than human. The protagonist, acting as a liaison between the aliens and humans, finds his life torn apart by his wife and the knowledge he acquires about what the aliens have been doing all along, and how he has been unknowingly assisting them.
