Review Summary
Take a peek into life in the Monstropolis, a city which runs on power generated by screams of human children. And then get introduced to the A-List - at the top of which are James P. Sullivan (voice of John Goodman) - the champion "scarer" of his times and Michael Wazowski(voice of Billy Crystal), his wily, smooth talking friend and manager. "Sulley" and many other of his lesser peers work for a business tycoon named Henry J. Waternoose. Inside his company, Monsters Incorporated, there are "doors" through which these monsters have to enter the human world and bring back screams by scaring children out of their wits. At the same time they are paranoid of being contaminated by the human kind and must avoid being touched, at all cost.

So when a little human girl is seen in a restaurant, the whole city gets thrown into panic. Unknown to everyone except Wazowski, this girl had actually come out of a door by clinging to Sullivan's back. The gentle giant that Sulley is, he gets attached to the girl and decides to put her back into her door. But while trying to do so, he discovers that Waternoose and the wicked monster Randall are running a covert operation to kidnap children and torture them with a newly designed scream machine. With Wazowski in tow, Sulley takes up the fight to expose Waternoose and get the little girl back home safely.

In the world of Monstropolis, children's screams power everything. No company produces more screams than Monsters Inc. "We scare because we care". Also, children are supposed to be toxic. When top scarer James P. Sullavin, aka Sully (Goodman)finds a child (Biggs), he and his best friend Mike Wazowski (Crystal) must find a way to get the child back to her own world before the Child Detection Agency and the CEO Waternoose (Coburn) find them. Also, Sully's scare rival Randall Boggs (Buscemi) is clearly up to somthing. It was his working after hours (which is considered cheating) that got the kid into the monster world in the first place. Sully has also taken a liking to the Kid, who he calls Boo. She calls the big galoot "Kitty". Sully and Mike have to take care of Boo and stop whatever scheme Randall is working on. Hilarious with amazing computer animation
