Review Summary
A Japanese Defence Force platoon "time slips" back to medieval Japan. The Lietennant makes friends with a warlord, fights off an attack, puts down a mutiny, and helps the warlord overthrow his cowarldy lord. Then the Lietennant and the warlord decide that they can rule the land, and the platoon (with its tank, helicopter, machine guns, etc) engages in a huge battle with a humongus and fiercly loyal medieval Japanese army. They lose almost everything, but a few survive and the Lt. duels the enemy warlord. The Lt. is now corrupt with power and the friendly warlord must do something about it. There is lots and lots and lots of battlefield violence and displays of courage and a little bit of fraternization between a soldier and a local girl. Some flaws in storytelling and all the bad dubbing and hokey dialogue make it difficult to watch when the action is not happening.
