Review Summaries
"Martha MacNamara's adult daughter, Elizabeth, asked her to come to San Francisco - said it was urgent - but when Martha arrives, Elizabeth is nowhere to be found. At her hotel, Martha meets an unusual man named Mayland Long, who helps her look for Elizabeth. As they search, they discover that Elizabeth, a computer designer, is mixed up in something shadowy and dangerous - and Martha discovers some interesting things about Mayland, too. This book is an excellent SF/Mystery, special mostly because of its main characters, who are well-drawn and of a kind not normally seen in fantasy novels."
