| Review Summary |
This sequel to the Jean Claude Van-Dam movie 'Cyborg' takes very little from the original except the fact of human-like cyborgs and the need of a cyborg on the run to have a human champion/protector. Here, the Pinwheel corporation has created a cyborg so perfectly human it has feelings and does not want to be used as a bomb to blow up the rival corporation. She escapes with the help of a human martial arts intructor and a mysterious semi-omnipotent mouth on any convenient TV screen. They explore the post-disaster society outside the corporate underground and fall in love. There is also a sub-plot about a bounty hunter whose face has been destroyed and repaired looking for revenge. This film is better than many cheapo sci-fi actioners for the good work by the leads and surprisingly good corporate boardroom scenes. It's also notable for being Angelina Jolie's second movie, doing martial arts stuff that WAY pre-dated 'Tomb Raider'
