"A scholar plans a hoax Ernest Hemingway novel, and is killed before it's completion by an extra dimensional creature as it would damage the future timeline. However john Baird (the scholar) reappears in a parallel dimension, in a slightly alered life/universe.
Thus starts an interesting chase (and a number of deaths for John Baird) through alternate realities before a finale which brings it all together.
At times confusing, but ultimately fun and satisfying, especially when an image of Hemingway appears to Baird after he drinks Absinthe......."
