Review Summaries
"In the third installment of the modern Batman series, master action filmmaker Joel Schumacher directs. Batman, played by Val Kilmer, has to contend with a former D.A. with a split personality who blames Batman for his disfigurement and wants him dead, a deluded scientist who works for Batman's alter-ego, Bruce Wayne, and wants to show Bruce up, a circus acrobat whose parents' death Bruce feels responsible for, and a psychologist who has a thing for both of his alter-egos. The most notable parts of the movie are: Jim Carrey's portrayal of the Riddler. Carrey is at is demented best. The first appearance of Robin. Chris O'Donnell plays the circus acrobat Dick Grayson whose parents death at the hands of Two-Face have left him bitter and needing an outlet for his hostility. Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. Mr. Jones does a great job switching personalities for the occasion. This movie is the best of the series in terms of pure mindless action and comedic value."
