In this third installment in the Evil Dead trilogy, Ash (Bruce Campbell) is thrown back in time into England's Dark Ages. He ends up falling in love with a girl (Embeth Davidtz) while there, but he still needs to get home. In order to do that Ash must fight through a plethora of obstables, the final one being a battle with an army of skeletons.

The movie carries on from last part but the story is summerized at the start. Ash, the hero, is magicaly transported to medieval England and is believed, by locals, to be the chosen one to deliver the land from the "terror of the deadites". Ash turns out to be a weak character of agressive nature and constantly tries to escape the responsobility of making the prophecy true. As usual, he messes up while trying to save the world, and raises the army of the dead...

Ash, the hero of the first two "Evil Dead" movies, finds himself, his oldsmobile, and his chainsaw in medieval England. To get home, he needs to fetch the Necronomicon, but he mispronounces the words needed to use it, and an army of the dead, including his evil double, marches to take over the world. Big battles ensue involving skeletons, zombies, flaming arrows, and the Oldsmobile modified to run on steam. In this, the director's cut, there is a different, less happy ending than that in the theatrical release. This ending really says that sometimes, you just can't win.
