An excellent story about four rugged individualists (Dr. Jake Burroughs, his daughter D.T. Burroughs Carter, Zebadiah John Carter, and Hilda Corners Burroughs) who find themselves on the run from an unknown and technically advanced alien race, bent on destroying them. They travel among the universes in a fantastic flying car, equiped with a Burroughs' Time/Space transporter device, finding themselves it places that,to them, had only existed in books each of them had read. Eventually, they run into one of Heinlein's other protagonists from his earlier writings. The book is full of typical Heinlein dry humor... a fun flight of fancy. Rodney, Resident Scholar
