| Review Summary |
Welcome to the 23rd century. In a world run by young people and governed by computers, utopia is the rule of thumb and living is pure pleasure. One catch....no one beyond 21 is allowed to live. Logan is a Sandman, a special force "cop" who terminates people who seek to live beyond their 21st birthday who are called runners. This is his story and the journey he takes as he suddenly turns 21. Joined by a young woman named Jessica, Logan must not only fight those he once worked with, but also the deep mindset of years and years of Sandman training.

This is a novelization of the movie of the same name. Logan is a Sandman, a policeman who hunts down people who don't want to die when they turn 21 years of age. But then he's artificially made to appear to be 21, and he gets a change of heart--he wants to live longer too. So he takes up with Jessica, a chick in a green miniskirt who hooks Logan up with the underground which takes him outside the domed city, in search of sanctuary.
