This is the third and final book in the Grand Admiral Thrawn trilogy. Thrawn prepares for a massive space battle with the Rebels at the Bilbringi shipyards. Meanwhile, Mara Jade takes Luke on a guided tour of the Emperor's cloning facility on Mount Tantiss, where they encounter the thoroughly deranged Jedi master C'Boath. And the formerly tame Nogri hand Thrawn their resignation in a very poignant way.
