Review Summaries
"In the near future, humans are mentally influenced by a brain-to-computer interface called SUBLIMATION. During a series of wars between governments and corporate superpowers called The Encryption Wars, it is the rise of sublimation from the city of Cybernetica that grounds the conflict to a halt and brings about a dystopian but peaceful society of high-functioning control. But in the 35 years since the end of the Encryption Wars, a growing number of humans begin to develop an immunity (known as blindsight) to the effects of sublimation and have become free-thinkers and society's outcasts. Following the first successful cyber attack on sublimation, a terrorist group called the drifters are aiming to destroy and recreate the very civilization the system supports. Enter Jake Radigan, a traffic hustler with with a shadowy past as a street operative for the National Crime Center. After years of estrangement, NCC is looking for the architect of the cybernetic attacks and offers him an assignment that could put him back in their good graces. "
