| Review Summary |
After a training accident, violet eyed Angel Eastland has had some major memory gaps, which the doctor says is natural after suffering from a severe head injury. Then one day she finds a note in her handwriting that says "violet eyes lie." For half a second she feels like she understands what the note means. Then a memory of almost drowning surfaces. She knows that something is wrong but is afraid to tell the executives at SilverDollar, the investigative company she works for. When she has some free time, she starts to research violet eyes. Then she finds another message that reads "Renaissance." Again the memory of almost drowning surfaces. Unnerved she realizes that the drowning memory only surface when she tries to remember something from her past. When she researches Renaissance she learns about an illegal genetic experiment to increase intelligence. Still unnerved and unsure, Angel goes on her first assignment. She and her instructor are sent to capture a fugitive that named Michael Vallant, who is supposedly a thief that stole millions of dollars from SilverDollar. When Angel sees him, she recognizes his violet eyes and then the drowning memory kicks in. A few days later she learns that Michael has agreed to undergo loyalty induction in return for SilverDollar dropping their charges against him. Angel vaguely remembers loyalty induction being painful and ii bother her to think of Michael going through it. In the middle of the night Angel goes to Michael's cell and he recognizes her. Unnerved Angel flees. The next day she agonizes over her connection Michael and her lost memory. Finally she decides to see him again. He tells her that they are both subjects of Project Renaissance. Since they are genetic experiments they are not considered human. SilverDollar tried to buy them from the project but they escaped and SilverDollar has been hunting them down. He says they have brainwashed her and installed a loyalty chip in her brain, which can control her actions. Finally convinced Angel frees him and they run away. SilverDollar is not about to let them escape and Angel must recover her memory and defeat the loyalty chip, if they are to have any chance of survival.
