Review Summaries
"Spindle is a hilarious comedy science fiction novel that follows Peter Turner during his first week as a Trooper in the Space Force. The job is definitely not what he expected it to be. His partner, Martian-born human Trooper Oblun, is a sociopathic thug with no respect for rules or authority, quite the opposite of regulations-spouting Peter. Within days the two troopers have picked up two unofficial new crewmembers: a human called Nono with no memory of his past, and a brilliant alien scientist/engineer who gets stranded aboard the Spindle when a superior officer tries to get him killed.
The foursome encounter a vast planet-eating space beast that has consumed an inhabited world. Peter is horrified by the death of the entire Bolandi race and vows to bring the responsible party to justice. "
