Review Summary
Flight of Dragons is an animation released in 1982. It is about a modern man called Peter Dickenson who is enlisted by the Green Wizard Carolinus to stop the evil Red Wizard Ommadon from taking over the realm of magic. The Green Wizard explains that without magic the human realm would also suffer and had proposed to gather up the last remains of magic to create a haven for all magical beings. But Ommadon sees this as a way to finally take over both the realms of magic and man and places his power into his crown.

Peter is chosen out of heroes throughout all of time as he is the last descendant of the man who taught dragons to speak but is also a man of science. To lead this quest to capture the crown of Ommadon they would need a man who belonged in both the realms of magic and science. Joining him on this quest is an English Knight, two dragons Gorbash and Smrgol, an elf and a female archer.

However Ommadon tries to kidnap Peter before he can begin his journey. Caught in a magical crossfire Peter ends up merged inside the dragon Gorbash. However the quest must go on and so the old dragon Smrgol must teach Peter how to be the one thing he has been obsessed with his whole life - a dragon.
