The hero's family fnds out what has happened and is forced to save him. They rescue the hero and try to stop the madman, but he's already left to destroy the city. The heroes return to the city just in time to try to stop the robot unleashed by the madman.

The heroes, with the help of another hero, are able to destroy the robot and capture the madman. The people of the city are so grateful that all of the superheroes are reinstated to keep the city safe.

After many lawsuits towards superheroes, all of them went underground and took on permenant secret identities. Mister Incredible now works at an insurance company but is soon fired after throwing his boss at a wall. So not to disappoint his family, he tells them nothing. He then receives a strange message from a mysterious stranger telling him that she has an assignment for him. Mister Incredible takes this opportunity to go back to superhero work and arrives on an island where he is asked to destroy a mechanical ball called an Omnidroid. He does the deed and returns home with a large amount of pay although his wife, Elastigirl thinks it is because he has gotten a promotion from the insurance company. He is called back onto the island for an important conference meeting. He then finds out that it is all a scheme by an ex-superhero fan named Buddy (now Syndrome) to destory all the world's superheroes. Meanwhile back at home, Elastigirl is vacumn-cleaning when she notices a rip in Mister Incredible's superhero suit. She grows suspicouis and visits his tailer, Edna Mode who explains to her what he has been doing all this time. She decides to go to the island to find him, but her daughter, Violet and son, Dash has stowed away on her flight.
