| Review Summary |
The United Nations anti-Godzilla task force, known as "G Force," has been building a bigger, better Mechagodzilla robot to fight the radiation monster. Meanwhile, an archaeological expedition has discovered a giant egg on a Pacific Island. Though Rodan, the giant pterodactyl, attacks the team, they manage to escape back to Kyoto with the intact egg. Lab tech Azusa (Sano) watches the egg, and is present when it hatches a cute and friendly baby Godzillasaurus. But the egg and the baby have attracted both Godzilla and Rodan to the mainland, where they fight each other and the robot Mechagodzilla, manned by pilot and pteranodon fan Kazuma (Takashima). This 1993 edition of the endless franchise features some terrific destruction sequences, but is unsurprisingly slow and stupid much of the time.
