NO ESCAPE, sometimes called ESCAPE FROM ABSOLOM, is a movie directed by Martin Campbell (The Mask of Zorro, Goldeneye) in 1994.
Robbins, a soldier who has killed his general officer, has just been sent to a penitentiary whose director has the right of life and death over all the prisoners. After having provoked this director, Robbins is finally moved to Absolom, a prison-island where the worst prisoners are left without any guards to look after them.
Firstly, Robbins makes the acquaintance of Marek and the Outsiders, a barbarian horde who kills anybody trespassing its territory. Severely wounded by Marek, Robbins manages to escape and to join the Insiders, a group of prisoners who try to live in a civilized way. This group is under the command of a doctor called the Father by his men. Robbins will help the Father to defend himself against Marek and to find a way to escape from Absolom in order to explain to the world what is happening on this island.
