Review Summaries
"The survival of the human race rests with Lara and John, chosen to host alien minds in a test to prove humanity is ready for what aliens believe should be the next step of evolution. Will they prove humanity ready for the power of that next step, or ensure its destruction by proving the adage “absolute power corrupts absolutely?”
Lara and John are a bit surprised to find themselves alive and well a short time after suffering fatal injuries, but strangely unperturbed by the alien voices which tell them they have untapped mental and physical powers they must individually use to fight the "other," an evil alien invader who will destroy humanity unless they can destroy it. Each becomes determined to use these new powers to destroy the threat.
