Review Summaries
"Upon turning twelve, Amy Candler's intelligence, strength and senses inexplicably increase beyond human limits. As Amy tries to understand the reason behind her transformation, she encounters more disturbing mysteries. Strangers that only her enhanced senses can detect are recording her every move. Her mother becomes frightened when Amy reveals her new abilities, and goes out of her way to keep Amy from learning about her family history. And most terrifying of all -- Amy's dreams are filled with images of being locked in a burning glass tube, images she realizes are memories of her own birth. Amy must use her new abilities to uncover the source of her powers as well as the secret behind her identity. But as the dangers around her increase, will she uncover the truth in time? "
