Review Summaries
"Concerned when the magical scroll that she was born to destroy appears in California without its Keeper, Catty and her friends, the goddesses the Daughters of the Moon, attempt to steal the Scroll from the museum where it is being studied. In the process of doing so, Catty stumbles into Kyle, a bad boy she once went to school with. She wonders what he is doing there. When she finds Kyle in her bedroom later, he tells her that it is time to meet her father, a member of the Atrox, who Catty is sworn to fight. However, anxious to meet her father, she goes with Kyle into Nefandus, the alternate world the Atrox created. Her father demands that Catty turn over the Scroll to him--in exchange for the life of Chris, the Keeper of the Scroll, with whom Catty had hoped to have a relationship. Instead, Catty and the other Daughters go after Chris themselves, only to find that he allowed himself to become a prisoner, knowing he could never escape from the Scroll's hold. Torn, Catty destroys the Scroll before her father and watches Chris die."
