Review Summaries
"Paul and Jessie Duncan's son, Adam, is hit by a car and killed just after his 8th birthday. They are approached by Richard Wells, a doctor who proposes that they have another son - a clone of their first son. Adam is born (again) and things seem to be fine, until his eighth birthday, when he starts having visions of another little boy - the one who died."
Amy Durant, Resident Scholar

"Paul and Jessie are two very happy parents at the start of the movie, blessed with a wonderful son, Adam, who has just turned 8. Unfortunately, the day after his 8th birthday, Adam is hit by a car and dies. After the funeral service, the grieving parents are approached by Richard Wells, a doctor who - as he later tells them - is involved in cloning and genetics. He makes them an offer that they eventually accept - they will clone their dead son. Paul and Jessie move to a large mansion closer to Godsend Institute, the lab where Dr. Wells works. The transplanting of cells seems to transpire without a hitch, and 9 months later Jessie gives birth to Adam all over again. Once he hits his 8th birthday though, the age at which he died, things begin to go weird. He experiences terrifying nightmares. He begins to act strangely and violently. Dr. Wells seems to be hiding something from the horrified parents. "
