Review Summaries
"Based on the Jules Verne novel, MYSTERIOUS ISLAND is a British movie directed by Cy Endfield in 1961.
Four Civil War soldiers escape in a balloon from their prison in Virginia. They land several days later on a small Pacific ocean island. They will meet there the Captain Nemo, stranded on this island with the Nautilus. Nemo has finally find a way to end all wars by creating giant animals that can feed the entire population of Earth. Our castaways will have to defend themselves against a giant crab, a huge bee and a ten meters tall chicken."
