| Review Summary |
Joel Barish (Jim Carrey) is a writer who falls in love with Clementine(Kate Winslet), a librarian with an obsession of constantly changing the color of her hair. Their relationships proves to require a lot of compromising and understanding from both their parts, a task that proves too much for Clementine who decides to spare herself the trouble and hire Dr. Mierzwiak to erase Joel from her memory. Joel's initial response is to seek the same services from Dr. Mierzwiak, yet it only takes a couple of memories' worth for him to change his mind. From then on begins a wild chase between the computer equipped doctor and the imaginary Joel within his own memories. Joel struggles to change his past reactions so as to avoid his true memories and his love for Clementine from being erased from his memory and his future life.
