| Review Summary |
Nick and his girlfriend Elizabeth are residents of this town. Elizabeth had moved to New York but when she comes back to her home town a starnge fog engulfs it.
About one hundred years ago, off the shore of an isolated town, a ship of lepers seeking refuge was betrayed by the town's founding fathers and burned, dooming everyone aboard. Now, after a centaury the ghosts of the long-dead sea men have returned from their watery graves to exact revenge. They move through a supernatural fog, killing every descendant of their betrayers.
turns out in the end that they had returned for something more than just revenge, Elizabeth turned out to be the reincarnation of the ghost captains wife!

The Fog opens up with Mr. Machen (John Houseman) telling what happened to the Elizabeth Dane, a ship where a rich man known as Blake and all men aboard were drowned on the cenetenial celebration of the seacost town Antonio Bay. The son of DJ Stevie Wayne (Adrienne Barbeau) finds a piece of driftwood with the word carved into it. Father Malone (Hal Holbrook) finds a journal written by his grandfather that tells of his and the five founding members of the town were really murderers and thieves. From there on the Fog ( Blake and friends) comes to haunt the town. This is an old fashioned ghost story written By the team that brough you Halloween John Carpenter and Deborah Hill.
