Review Summary
Angus Scrimm plays an evil mortician named the "Tall Man" who stalks the halls of Morningside Mortuary (the same house was used for the movie Burnt Offerings) while stealing bodies which he crushes into dwarve-like mutants, adding them to an ever growing legion being shipped off to a netherworld. Michael(Michael Baldwin) witnesses the strange and creepy happenings of the "Tall Man" after Jody (Bill Thornbury) and Reggie (Reggie Bannister) pay their respects to a deceased friend. Mike convinces Jody and Reggie that something is amiss at the Mourningside Mortuary and together they investigate the bizarre goings on there. The combined effect of the gloomy set pieces, ominous soundtrack and bizzare imagery (got to love them chrome spheres drilling into people's heads) give this movie an unnerving feeling.
