Review Summaries
"After a nervous breakdown, Meg's cousin sends her to the country--one of the houses Sylvia inherited from one of her many husbands, in Pennsylvania. Grateful for the distraction, Meg agrees to watch the house for a while. She doesn't expect to find Sylvia's stepson, Andy, there, acting as groundskeeper, also recovering from an illness. Meg remembered Andy as a bully, and their first encounter doesn't dissuade the notion. Then, strange things begin occurring. Time lapses, black outs. Meg thinks she's having another breakdown, until Andy admits that, when she sees things, he sees them too. Soon, they are delving into the history of the house and of Andy's family. Meg and Andy realize that there are ghosts of an old German scientist, his granddaughter, and her companion, who is a witch. Or are they? Did the old scientist manage to create a time portal? Meg and Andy must figure it out before the deadline--or the men that came to kill the three will do the same to Meg and Andy too."
