Review Summaries
"Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.) has just returned to England after living in America for several years. While shopping in an antique store, Larry buys a silver cane from a beautiful girl named Gwen and makes a date with her. That evening, Larry meets Gwen and her friend Jenny and decides to go to a gypsy camp. When Jenny strays away from their group, Larry hears her scream and sees her being attacked by a giant wolf. Larry beats the wolf to death with his cane but is badly bitten. When the police arrive, however, they discover Larry has beaten a gypsy man to death. Over the next few days, Larry begins feeling very strange. He meets the mother of the gypsy he killed and learns that the man was a werewolf who passed his curse on to Larry. Larry doesn't want to believe her -- but when the next full moon rises, he transforms into a savage werewolf who begins terrorizing the English countryside. Horrified, Larry tries to stop himself from killing, but discovers the werewolf cannot be controlled. "

"THE WOLF MAN is a movie produced and directed by George Waggner in 1941. After a decade in the U.S.A., Larry Talbot has returned home to his Welsch castle. One night, in the forest surrounding the family castle, he kills a wolf that had just cut the throat of a young girl. But, when the police arrives, only the corpse of a gypsy is to be found near a wounded Larry. As his wound disappears during the night, Larry will pay more attention to the local stories about a man turning into a wolf during the nights of full moon. He'll also discover soon enough that he's become the new werewolf. On the next nights, Larry will be transformed into a half man, half-wolf monster that has to find a new prey every night. "
