After three years of trying to make her web designing company solvent Roxanne Geritt believes that only a miracle will keep her from going bankrupt. That miracle comes in the form of a check for one hundred twenty five thousand dollars from a Mr. Aidan Nevan with a stipulation. She will earn the fee by buying him computer equipment and then come to his home to teach him how to use it. Although Roxanne is a little leery since she had no contact with the man except by courier, she accepts the contract.
Her feelings of unease increase when she is taken to an island in the middle of a lake. The only building on it is Aidan's home which is surrounded by a ring of trees. On her first day there, she hears some strange things in the woods and the vines seem alive as if they want to tie her up. She tries to put it down to be a vivid imagination but more bizarre happenings occur. Aidan levels with the woman he loves. Instead of being frightened by what he reveals, she resolves to help him break the curse that binds him to WITCH ISLAND.
Fans of very creepy paranormal Gothic novels will want to tour WITCH ISLAND that is so graphic it would make an excellent movie. Aidan and Roxanne are reminiscent of Mr. Rochester and Jane Eyre so readers will find it very easy to sympathize with their plight and hope for a happily ever after ending as Stephanie Bedwell Grime's tortured hero seeking redemption will affect readers deeply. This superb paranormal romance is a treat not to be missed.
