Review Summary
Brothers in Arms is the story of twins Caramon and Raistlin Majere's early life. The boys turn into men in the story and while Caramon becomes a strong infintry soldier, Raistlin becomes a powerful war mage who learns how to survive in battle. The story unfolds as a coming of age story and growing up, learning to survive on their own. Since the brothers are twins they have a strong sense of need for one another which is diminished in this novel. Each brother develops his skill seperately from the other brother though they are employed by the same man.

While this story unfolds the brother's half sister Kitara, becomes a successful dragonlord for the queen of darkness. The of Kitara unfolds as one woman's assension into a successful military career. The main plot drama that unfolds is Kitara's new enemies, her younger twin brothers are forced to fight against her. As war begins to brew in the future Kitara is forced to turn her back on her family and fight in the present against them.

Great novel about loyalty and growing up to fight for a cause that one believes in leaving behind older loyalty of friendship and family.
