Review Summary
Shido is a vampire with no memory of who he was before he was turned. He works as a private investigator, trying to find another type of supernatural being that inhabits corpses and kill them, and trying to keep some hold onto his humanity, which his maker, Cain, laughs at him for whenever he decides to show up and scoff at Shido, whom he really does love. Cain, in order to show Shido how immature he's being as a vampire, slices Shido's human helper/adoptive child, Riho, so Shido must either turned her or let her die. He turns her and starts to realize how Cain feels about him, although he maintains his humanity. Riho has a crush on Shido, although Shido, doesn't share the emotion, which causes some problems in later episodes.
