Review Summary
The surface world dwells in quiet complacency while a sinister new force begins stirring in the bowels of the oceans. A young sailor, the son of a vicious pirate, tries to live as an honest sailor, but finds it almost impossible with the suspicion and hatred of all people upon him. Even worse, the sahaguin, a race of sea-dwelling warriors consumed with hatred for the land-dwellers, are roused to war against the surface by a mysterious sorcerer who has lived for thousands of years, lusting for vengeance upon the goddess who stripped him of his powers. Now, the sailor faces an even graver threat as the threat from the sea rises to swallow the surface world- by any means necessary...
