Review Summaries
"In the Vietnam jungle, soldier Luc learns that his sergeant has run amok and slaughtered a "friendly" village. Luc goes to the scene and finds Sergeant Scott has gone crazy and is menacing a young woman and her boyfriend. Luc tries to intervene, but Scott kills them all. At the last minute, Luc shoots Scott. Cut to the 1990s, when an elite group of "universal soldiers", superhuman robotic-type men, go in to save a hostage situation. Two of the soldiers are Scott and Luc, unaged and seemingly unemotional. A reporter encounters Luc and something about the situation jolts his memories. He begins to remember who he was before his transformation. The reporter is determined to blow the story, but Luc's controllers are determined that she won't. Scott is sent after the fugitive Luc and the reporter, and his own memories begin to reawaken. The scene is set for a showdown at Luc's old home."

"Several young Vietnam soldiers are killed and bagged; years later their bodies are resurrected as part of an experiment to create the perfect soldier with extraordinary strength and the ability to withstand extraordinary injuries; their personalities are lost in the process. As the soldiers are used in real life situations, the personalities and antagonism between them begin to resurface, as one soldier turns to cruelty and another toward compassion and a desire for justice.
