Review Summaries
"“They” isn't “Them.” But it's darn scary. It opens with a scene of five-year-old Billy, terrified of creaky bedroom shadows despite his mother's assurances that nothing's going to get him. Twenty years later, we learn that those horrible nightmares normal five-year-olds experience really are monsters “marking” you for later capture as adults. So marked is the adult Billy (Abrahams), who, terrified of his recurrent fears, seeks help from long-time friend Julia (Regan) but shoots himself on the spot. At his funeral, Julia meets two of Billy's friends who each display the same scab-like wound which Billy had, “proving” that they too are marked. The subsequent stalkings, noises and eerie goings-on are clever, bloodless, and leave much to the imagination as you ask yourself, “was something there or not?” Of course, Julia eventually discovers her mark and must flee. But where?"
