Review Summaries
"Young Bruce Banner is a bright scientist whose lab partner & girlfriend is the daughter of Gen. Ross. Banner is working on the effects of Gamma-Radiation when his father (formerly a top Gamma scientist) is released from prison for having killed Banner's mother. Banner accidentally gets hit with a major overload of Gamma-Radiation and it causes Banner to become THE HULK. His father (Nick Nolte) locates Banner at the Government Lab and continues to try to make his son into a bigger radiation monster. Flashbacks reveal that Banner, Sr. (Nolte) had been injecting his son with Gamma serums when the child was a baby, and that Banner, Sr. had decided to kill his young son because he thought that Junior was evil. While young Banner tries to deal with becoming the HULK, military interests are trying to either capture the HULK for scientific experiments, or to kill him. Banner's girlfriend and her father are trying to help Banner by capturing him. Banner's father (Nolte) mutates himself into another Gamma-Creature too, and seeks his son (The HULK) in order to kill him."

"Nick Nolte plays the tormented David Banner who carries out genetic experiments on himself before fathering a son Bruce (Eric Bana) and getting thrown into prison by Ross (Sam Elliot). Bruce grows up to be a scientist himself and is enamored with gama-rays and nano-med technology. Bruce falls victim to a lab accident and the Hulk is unleashed. One of the major subplots to the story is Bruce's co-worker and ex-grilfriend Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly) is the daughter of Ross the general who wants bruce/hulk destroyed."
Bobby Blades, Resident Scholar

"When Bruce Banner was a kid his father injected something in him to give him super powers. Now 30 years later a lab explosion that should have killed only makes him stronger. He soon realizes that whenever he gets angry he turns into a huge, green monster. With these new powers he finds himself torn away from the people he loves and hunted down by the military."
Jack Bauer, Resident Scholar

"Everyone knows the basic plot but what is weird is the introduction of the demented parent as the cause of Bruce Banner's affliction. In the 60's comic it was the military lab and the radiation that caused the problem. "
