Review Summary
"Travelling Jack" is 12 and his mother is dying - Untill he meets Speedy Parker, an old black fairground hawker, who teaches him how to change their lives for ever. Jack finds himself in the Territories, a wonderous yet terrifying place, so like home yet with creatures so IMPOSSIBLE! Jack must journey from one coast of the USA to another (though distance is covered more quickly in the Territories there are stranger dangers all around), and he must bring home the Talisman to save both his mother and a Queen from another world.
