"SCANNERS is a movie written and directed by David Cronenberg in 1981. Stephen Lack is a scanner, a man who's got the ability to control people's minds and read them. He's hired by Patrick McGoohan, a scientist working for a big corporation, in order to find Michael Ironside, another scanner who eliminates one by one the scanners who don't want to join his underground movement. First Cronenberg movie with a decent budget. It shows."
