| Review Summary |
A multi generational war between Earth's defence forces and a series of alien races all after (for different reasons) a quasi mystical, biochemical substance called protoculture. The humans spend much of the series trying to figure out just what this protoculture is only to find it right under their noses. The lives of several minor characters are brought into focus, such as when a defeated alien infiltrates the humans with the intent of assasinating her defeator only to fall in love with him. One of the few cartoon series to actually depict the destruction of the Earth in an alien invasion.
