She confides her dreams and fantasies to this "cat" and sleeps with him at night, where she has erotic dreams about a man with two different colored eyes!
During his time in England, Rejar befriends a popular gentleman named Lord Byron, who believes him to be a Russian prince! Suddenly, Rejar is one of the most highly sougt after batchelors in London. Rejar and Lilac fall in love.

In the previous book, Knight of a Trillion Stars, Rejar's fate was unknown. In this book, we find that he has been transported to another place, time, and dimension. Upon finding himself in Regency England, Rejar decides to play it safe. Staying for the most part in his cat form (he has three forms, cat, human, and a pure energy form he can only hold for a moment), he explores this new world. Once he feels more secure, he creates a persona for himself. As Prince Nickolai, he attempts to woo Lilac, the woman who has kept him in her home while he was in his cat form. Although she says she wants nothing to do with him, he tricks her into marrying him. Later, he has to deal with the fact that he's married a woman who doesn't seem to mind having sex with him but doesn't actually love him. She believes that his shapeshifting is the result of black magic, and he cannot take her back to his dimension and planet if she cannot accept him for who he is.
