Review Summaries
" For two decades the human race battled the Insectoids to a draw until the armistice on Vilalics ended the hostilities. However, the traitorous Insectoids destroyed most of the fleet and conquer the home worlds. What remains of the armada is now under the command of War Admiral Norman North who orders a hasty retreat. He is looking for ancient Chert technology that can help humanity defeat their enemies and reclaim their home worlds. Their mission is not an easy one as the Insectoids pursue them even into human space. They face mutiny from within and come across aliens that are hostile to humanity. Just as they are on the verge of losing hope, they find supplies that they desperately need on various worlds. Obvious they have allies; they just only have to find them. Though clearly a Battlestar Galacta clone, fans of space opera and military science fiction will thoroughly enjoy ESCAPE FROM THE INSECTOIDS because unlike many works of this sub-genre, the characters are very likable and engage reader empathy. The admiral is the glue that holds this novel together but there are other characters that readers will adore, including an alien Pomeranian. Steven Gordon has the kind of talent that reminds the audience of Robert Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke because what could have been a tedious retread is an exhilarating tale. Harriet Klausner "

"Once again we find our hero's fighting the Insectoids, War Admiral North and the fleet are still fleeing from the insectoids. The had embarged on a quest to find a Chent civilization, to help them defeat the Insectoids, but they are hunted, fleet after fleet of Insectoids are sent after them and it is a constant battle. They are aided by beings that have magical powers, Inspir is one of them and he helps them by inspiring them and giving them hope again to defeat the enemy. All in all a very enjoyable book and one that keeps you captivated to the end."
