In the best episode so far of the 3rd season, the half of the crew on Talon go head to head with Aeryn Sun's Momma and two creatures that look like a cross between PREDATOR and ALIEN. (They actually aren't so tough--John Crichton kills them with sticks). Most of the episode is spent fighting in the jungle. John Crichton learns that Crais has been using them to help protect himself from the peacekeepers. When Aeryn Sun has some private time with her Momma, she finds a totally butch peacekeeper singlemindedly focused on her job. At the end Crais apparently kills her. Thoughts and Comments: 1) It was good that Aeryn Sun had sex at the beginning of the episode and not the end--having her Momma die would probably spoil the mood for a while. And yet at the end of the episode we see Aeryn Sun offering to do it again with John Crichton--do you think maybe it was secretly a turnon for her? 2) Now that we've seen Mrs. Aeryn and her petite nose, we are left with the mystery of where Aeryn got her schnooz from. Do you think Talon, her father, must have had a nose the size of an elephant? 3) Why were there only four people in Mrs. Aeryn's retrieval squad? That's a very small squad! 4) Now that one of the Crichton's has gotten Aeryn laid, isn't it obvious that he's going to be the one to die down the road? 5) Why was the news about Crais such a big deal? So what he knew the peacekeepers would come after him. John Crichton treated it like some big betrayal. 6) The only thing missing from this episode was Chiana acting slutty; do you think they might clone her too at some point so she can be on both ships and in every episode? 7) Why did Aeryn's butch Momma have reptile scales on her neck? Do you think she's part lizard? | ||||||||
