The REAL CYLONS wore skirts because they were big, bad killer robots who could wear whatever they wanted to. You also had to zap them with lasers because bullets just bounced off their armor. Of course, I did always think it a bit odd that the Colonials didn't have microwave ovens which could scramble their electronic brains everytime the warriors made popcorn for their pyramid games. Take Care.

Probably for the same reason Americans used art on the noses of their aircraft during WWII. It was to distract a shooter just long enough to become the target....

John, or is it really Ron? Me paranoid? Anyway, what if Hera is the first truly human child born in generations? Follow, the Cylons have already destroyed the humans, realized their mistake and are attempting re-create their creators. THIS has been RAND's WILD THEORY No. 109. Take Care.

Rand....I like that possibility. We will see how that plays out. That could be why #6 kept telling Baltar that they were going to raise this child.

I believe Baltar is finally going to discover he is a Cylon. I just have a hunch that he is an experimental model and the only one of his series. Maybe the other Cylons, who are just one of many, known only by a number, are studying his behavior to learn how to be individuals. Take Care.

Okay, Friday's episode was not as good as last week's but there were a few decent moments. The scene where Tigh kills his wife was kind of sad, And the scene in the Galactica's landing bay after the rescue was touching, especially as Tigh walks away from the cheering crowd. On a negative note, I really think the battle scenes should have been longer, especially on New Caprica, and the cgi still looks cartoonish. The Pegasus plowing into a basestar was stolen from one of Richard (Balater) Hatch's Galactica novels. However, from previews for the next episode it seems gino will be returning to its old heartless self. Will the vigilantes abducting former Cylon sympathizers wear white robes and hoods and burn Colonial religious symbols on the traitors' ships? Will Boomer and Helio leave the Fleet to find their baby? And the Galactica might just run into the remains of the Pegasus in a later episode. Take Care...

John, I don't think Adama's rescue mission will be successful, or at least not completely so early on in the season. The Colonial Police remind me of the Tories during the American Revolutionary War, who thought they were siding with the eventual winners. Of course, I have a suspicion that some of the Police only joined where they could feed information to the Resistance. The same thing happened during the Revolution. Most of the real turncoats will probably stay with the Cylons. Of course the Colonials are so politically correct that they would probably vote the traitors to the Counsel just to show how liberal they are. As for Starb-tch, I believe the Cylon keeping her captive really loves her. I guess some guys just go for ugly hermaphrodites. As for the kid, even if it is hers, which I don't believe it is, the Cylon is obviously just using it to keep her in line. Take Care...

The traitors on New Caprica have a serious problem. Now that they've aligned themselves with the cylons, if the Galactica makes a successful rescue attempt what happens to them? Do they stay behind with the cylons or go with the Galactica and get burned at the stake?
And whats the deal with Starbuck? Do you think the Cylons are going to give her her ovary back? Do the cylons want her to have another baby?

Bang, I set it aside when I had an idea for the third novel in my own sci-fi series. I really want to talk about it, but I'm afraid to until I get the stories, characters and ship designs copyrighted. I'm even working on a plywood and styrene model of the main ship, an aircraft carrier and her crew set 20,000 years in Earth's future. Try to imagine if the real Galactica and the real Enterprise got together and had a baby. I think you'll like where I put the landing bay, singular, not plural like on the Big-G. Also, Mr. Moore, Bang and I would hate to have to sue you for plagurisim...did I spell that right?" Well, F. Scott Fitzgerald couldn't spell either. Anyway, I believe we're entitled to monetary compensation and name credits for the use of our intellectual property. You may list me as Sire Rand, Lord of Valeria, Galactica Scholar and Bang will get back to you with his title. Take Care.

Rand, the way I understand it, the original script for the first episode called for the Galactica to continue the search for Earth, with the Pegasus remaining behind to protect the Colonials' world, and...HEY WAIT A MINUTE!! Some of this sounds kinda' familiar...something along the lines of a story written by a certain sci-fi fan in Alabama...not to point any fingers, RAND!! Well, if New Caprica has turned into New Baghdad, then maybe we can finally see the Arab Cylons that have been discussed on other posts on this site. But if five of them hijack a shuttle and crash it into Starbuck's tent, I'm outta here. Have a good day, everyone. P.S. Rand, how's your story coming along?

When my brother dropped the dvd of this season's first episode off this morning I must admit I was actually anxious to watch it. Mr. Moore has once more delivered the goods, so to speak. Sex, violence...and even a little storyline. Apparently, the Pegasus is going to continue on toward Earth with what remains of the fleet, while Adama attempts to rescue the New Capricans. Bang, does this not sound a little like a story idea we were discussing several months ago? And, I think I finally understand the Gino philosophy. The Cylons are born again Christians who consider anything they do, even committing torture and murder, to spread their faith acceptable. The Scene aboard Colonial One with all the Dean Stockwell Cylons justifying the use of fear tactics was hillarious. All that was missing was a large cross on the wall. And the Colonials, well do I even need to go there? Suicide vests, anyone? Why doesn't Mr. Moore just change the name of New Caprica to New Baghdad? He couldn't make it any more obvious. Also, about Boomer's baby, I was under the impression that it was of extreme importance to both the Cylons and Colonials because it was the only one, and yet last night we meet starb-tch's kid, so there must be even more human-cylon babies out there. Why then is Boomer and Helio's kid so important? Also, Mr. Moore, please continue to torture Starb-tch, I must admit that I enjoyed seeing her miserable. Maybe I have some masochistic tendicies myself. If so you helped bring them to the surface. Also, just on the possibility we do eventually get an original Galactica movie or DVD, how about Rick Springfield assuming the role of Apollo since Richard (Baltar) Hatch has abandoned the True Galactica Fans? Take Care...

just because we cylons are transvestites, sweet transvestites, doesn't mean we can't wear skirts and the occasional angoria sweater and still be savage killing machines. besides, would you really like to see our big metal balls swinging back and forth when we walk. and believe me, if you were hung like a cylon you'd walk funny too

And the Cylons met the Greeks and Romans when? One would think a meeting of the two would result in the unfortunate destruction of one of the two. Maybe Cylons were nicer back then.

The ancient Romans and Greeks thought that trousers were barbaric. They themselves wore garments that could be called skirts. The Cylons seem to have been influenced by the ancient Greeks and Romans in this and other matters.
Cheers! Rudy

Sometimes a Cylon just likes to feel pretty...not that there's anything wrong with that.
