| Favorite scene in favorite book and why? "There are so many great moments, but off the top of my head... There's a sequence about two thirds of the way through Triffids where the narrator and his new best friend are driving through the deserted countryside. They pass through a small village and a blind man runs out of his house having heard their engines... and is instantly stung and killed by an ambushing triffid. The two characters discuss the new situation the human race finds itself in and the true menace of the triffids.
