"Based on Alejandro Amenábar's OPEN YOUR EYES, VANILLA SKY is a movie directed by Cameron Crowe in 2001. Tom Cruise, a rich publisher, falls in love with Penélope Cruz, a young spanish dancer he's met at his anniversary's party. The next day, a jealous Cameron Diaz provokes a car accident that leaves our Tom disfigured. After a few weeks, a Cruise wearing a mask, decides to meet Penélope again. From this moment on, reality seems to play with him as Cameron Diaz and Penélope Cruz play a dangerous cat and mouse game with his love. Not as brilliant as Amenábar's film but still good thanks to the tp performances of the actors."

The plots chops and changes to Tom losing his business as he loses his sanity and power. Then it changes to a masked man in a mental institute explaining his actions to a therapist (Kurt Russell) about his past actions. More clues and hints are thrown in. We then discover Tom's hallucinations of Diaz which torment him caused him to kill Cruz- ending him up in the prison. However there's another factor- a company offering eternal life. Is everything Tom'sxperiencing a hallucination or something else? A great film with great performances by all the cast. Its a romance with a sci fi twist which ends up in the past and future- or the other way round?! A mystery which will keep you guessing until the end and have you pondering afterwards."
