"Barabara (Patricia Tallman) and her brother Jonnie (Bill Mosley) go to visit their mother when they are attacked by cannabilistic zombies awakened from death by a radioactive space probe. Barbara escapes and finds refuge in an isolated farm house where she would ultimately meet up with Ben (Tony Todd) and a diverse group of five other strangers. They spend the night fending off the relentless attack of a legion of zombies in hopes they can see the light of day. A contemporary version of the cult 1968 classic B&W film by George Romero, NOTLD 1990 (directed by brilliant make-up effects wizard Tom Savini) improves on the gore and characterizations with fantastic performances by Tom Towles as a completely obnoxious Harry Cooper, Patricia Tallman with an updated twist to the helpless heroin, and Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination 1&2) who adds more kick ass, take charge attitude to the "lets keep things cool, think things out" character of Ben.

"Radiation in the community causes corpses to reanimate and become zombies. Large portion of film spent trying to board up the house while fighting off hordes of zombies and thinking up ways to kill them for good."

"The Dead rise from the Earth to eat the living, now a group of people are under seige in an abandoned farm house fighting for their lives!"
