| Review Summary |
A medieval noble knight with his peasant retainer are accidentally sent to the present-day Chicago by a wizard when trying to right a wrong done to him. While there, he meets his descendant and helps her save the family estate from her unscrupulous husband while helping her find her confidance. Much "fish-out-of water" comedy of medieval people not fitting in to modern society. Jean Reno gives a great performance as the proud, sincere nobleman. Overall, parts of the film seem a bit rushed, like they were trying to just fill a contract and make a buck, but the comedy and performances make up for it. This is an American remake of the French film "Les Visiteurs (The Visitors)" which was the most popular French comedy ever.
