Review Summary
In the Diamond Throne, the Pandion Knight Sparhawk returns from ten years' exile by corrupt government officials to find the Queen, who ordered him to return upon her coronation, encased in a diamond hard transparent casing. His tutor in the magical arts, Sephrenia, tells him that this is a powerful enchantment meant to keep the queen in stasis, for she suffers a grave illness. The enchantment, however, has its price. The twelve knights who added their powers to Sephrenia's for the spell will die, one per month, until only Sephrenia remains, and then she, too, will die. Thus begins the search for the cure.
Ridiano Uvle, Resident Scholar

Sparhawk, the Queen's Champion is caught up in a plot to depose the Queen, dishonor the knightly order, and put a scoundrel into the Archprelate's throne. His Queen poisoned but sustained by the knights' magic, he journeys the land to find a cure and to thwart the plans of a mad knight whose dark magic could plunge the world into a new Dark Age.
Shadowfire, Resident Scholar
