Review Summary
Director John Carpenter's 1984 Sci/Fi Box Office Smash about an alien being who visits our world, only to be attacked and forced to escape, with the help of a female widow (Allen) and using the face and body of her dead husband (Bridges in his Oscar nominated performance for Best Actor) as cover. To many, Carpenter's best film is Halloween, but for those of us who've seen this film, we know the real truth. As thoughtful as it is touching, Starman goes beyond science fiction, right to the human soul. Beautiful.
